London, October 2025 | The FuturED Institute is delighted to announce Dr Issamary Sánchez Ortega as a featured / distinguished / special / speaker at the International Roundtable – Technologies for Sustainability, taking place on Thursday, 6 November 2025, from 08:30 to 13:30, at the United Nations Association UK (UNA-UK), hosted at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, London.
Dr Sánchez Ortega holds a Doctorate in Law and is a distinguished lawyer and consultant specialising in anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), prevention of the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (PFADM), and corporate governance. She has served as Panama’s Ambassador to France, Liechtenstein, and Monaco, as well as Consul General in Marseille (2020–2024).
Notably, she was the first Panamanian to co-chair both the OECD Development Centre and the SIGI, served as President of the Network of Latin American Women Diplomats in France, and was part of Panama’s delegation responsible for the country’s removal from the FATF grey list. Her career reflects a blend of diplomatic leadership, regulatory expertise, and advocacy for women’s representation in international governance.
