London, 6 May 2025 | His Excellency Daniel Noboa Azín, President of Ecuador, recently visited London to deliver the Canning Lecture, an event hosted by Canning House that fosters dialogue between Latin America and the United Kingdom. Since its establishment in 1997, the lecture series has welcomed Heads of Government to share their insights on global affairs and international cooperation.

President Noboa’s speech highlighted Ecuador’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic and trade relations, with a particular focus on sustainable development. The International Green Trade & Commerce Association (IGTCA) was represented at the event by its CEO, Juan Dávila y Verdin, reinforcing the importance of international cooperation in green trade and commerce.

The evening concluded with closing remarks by Baroness Hooper, Honorary Vice-President of Canning House, further emphasising the significance of diplomatic engagement and cross-border collaboration.

This visit underscored Ecuador’s ongoing efforts to foster global partnerships while addressing key economic and environmental challenges.
