The International Green Trade & Commerce Association (IGTCA) is pleased to announce that the International Roundtable on Technologies for Sustainability will be held in Scotland for the first time, marking an important milestone in the development of this international forum dedicated to innovation, sustainability and responsible economic growth.

The event is organised by MBY Consultants and The FuturED Institute, both members of IGTCA. It will bring together investors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, academics, researchers and policymakers to explore how emerging technologies can accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable future.

The Roundtable will take place on 21 October 2026 at the historic Maryculter House Hotel, Aberdeen. Situated on the banks of the River Dee, the 13th-century venue provides an exceptional setting for international dialogue on the opportunities and challenges presented by technological innovation.

Since its inception, the Roundtable has established itself as a platform for interdisciplinary exchange, addressing topics including artificial intelligence, renewable energy, digital transformation, sustainable education, smart infrastructure, climate resilience and responsible innovation. Previous editions have been hosted in London at prestigious venues including the Caledonian Club, the Royal Air Force Club and the headquarters of the United Nations Association–UK.

Bringing the Roundtable to Scotland reflects the organisers’ commitment to strengthening international collaboration while recognising Scotland’s global leadership in renewable energy, research, higher education and technological innovation.

Registration is now open to entrepreneurs, investors, companies, universities, public institutions and organisations wishing to participate. Further announcements regarding the programme and keynote speakers will be made in the coming weeks.

As the international network connecting businesses, institutions and professionals committed to sustainable trade, innovation and responsible growth, IGTCA is proud to support this initiative and looks forward to welcoming participants from across the United Kingdom and overseas to Aberdeen for a day of high-level dialogue, knowledge exchange and international cooperation.
