The International Green Trade & Commerce Association (IGTCA – The Green Chamber) is pleased to welcome Dr. Issamary Sánchez Ortega as a new member of the Association.
Dr. Sánchez Ortega is an international lawyer and PhD, specialising in financial crime prevention, compliance and AML, corporate governance, and regulatory and public policy. She has served as Ambassador of Panama to France, Director of Panama’s Financial Analysis Unit (UAF), and is a university lecturer and published author.
Her membership brings a dimension that is increasingly central to IGTCA’s work: the intersection of legal frameworks, financial governance and sustainable business. As international trade becomes more complex, navigating compliance requirements, anti-money laundering obligations and evolving regulatory environments across jurisdictions, the expertise Dr. Sánchez Ortega brings is not incidental to sustainable business. It is foundational to it.
Her experience across diplomatic, public sector and academic roles, combined with deep knowledge of Panama’s regulatory and financial landscape, also reinforces IGTCA’s growing presence in Latin America and its engagement with Panama as a strategic hub for international trade and commerce.
Welcome to IGTCA, Dr. Sánchez Ortega.
