From 9 to 20 November 2026, Antalya, Türkiye hosts COP31, the 31st Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This edition has a clear mandate: move from agreements to implementation.
Nearly 200 countries, leaders, businesses and investors are gathering to negotiate concrete commitments across ten key action areas: clean energy transition, green industrialisation, oceans and seas, zero waste, food security, climate-resilient cities, youth and education, Rio synergy, climate and health, and the climate implementation bridge.
For the International Green Trade & Commerce Association (IGTCA – The Green Chamber), the decisions made at COP31 are not background noise. They directly shape international trade standards, supply chain requirements, ESG regulatory frameworks and sustainable investment conditions. Businesses and organisations that understand this agenda are better positioned to adapt, compete and grow in the global green economy.
A FIRST IN COP HISTORY: THE STARTUP ZONE
One of the most significant innovations of this edition is the COP31 Startup Zone, the first dedicated space in COP history exclusively for the climate entrepreneurship ecosystem. For 11 days in the Green Zone, startups, investors and decision-makers converge around climate solutions. This is where the next generation of sustainable trade and green business models is taking shape.
IGTCA is following the COP31 agenda closely, because what is decided in Antalya defines the conditions of sustainable global trade for years to come. Sustainable trade is not the future. It is the condition of the present.
