The International Green Trade & Commerce Association (IGTCA) is pleased to announce that the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) has joined the International Roundtable on Technologies for Sustainability as an Institutional Supporter of its fourth edition, to be held on 21 October 2026 at Maryculter House Hotel, Aberdeen.

Organised by MBY Consultants and The FuturED Institute, both members of IGTCA, the Roundtable brings together leaders from industry, academia, government and the investment community to explore the role of emerging technologies in advancing sustainable development and strengthening international cooperation.

The participation of the Nuclear Industry Association reflects the growing importance of dialogue across the energy, technology and sustainability sectors. As the trade association for the UK’s civil nuclear industry, the NIA represents more than 330 companies across the nuclear supply chain and works to support the deployment of clean, reliable and low-carbon nuclear energy as part of the United Kingdom’s transition to net zero. The Association also promotes innovation, skills development, STEM education and collaboration between industry, government and academia.

Nuclear energy is increasingly recognised as an important component of a diversified low-carbon energy mix, complementing renewable energy sources by providing reliable, round-the-clock electricity while contributing to energy security and long-term decarbonisation objectives. The NIA advocates for the role of civil nuclear technologies in supporting sustainable economic growth, environmental responsibility and industrial competitiveness.

IGTCA warmly welcomes the Nuclear Industry Association’s institutional support, which further strengthens the international and multidisciplinary character of the Roundtable. The Association’s participation will contribute to informed discussions on the future of clean technologies, innovation, investment and sustainable industry.

The International Roundtable on Technologies for Sustainability continues to consolidate its position as a platform for collaboration between business, academia and public institutions, fostering practical solutions to global sustainability challenges through knowledge exchange and international partnership.
